Hi,

I have the E3C236D2I motherboard with BMC and IPMI/KVM support.

I tried using the ASRockRack Server Management Utility available here https://www.asrockrack.com/support/SMU.asp to control the board with no success so far.

The BMC ip address is set through DHCP to 192.168.1.54.
I am able to connect to http://192.168.1.54 with admin/admin credentials and configure some things from there.

But the login to the board with the same admin/admin credentials through asrrmgmttool (Server Management Utility) fails using CLI or GUI.

On linux, executing the following:


> ./asrrmgmttool power status -h 192.168.1.54 -u admin -p admin


gives:


Power control...status
192.168.1.54: login failed
Total servers found: 1, command sent: 0, failed: 1
Failed servers: 192.168.1.54


Same on windows.

However, I can control the board with the "standard" ipmitool on linux with no issue.

For example, the following works just fine:


> ipmitool power status -H 192.168.1.54 -U admin -P admin


Does anyone have a clue about what should be done to login successfully ?
