Well, it must be the path AsRock chose.
If you need PS/2 port, I suggest you look at another brand with the same first two letters. cough cough.

Will there be an ASRock AM5 motherboard that supports PS/2 keyboards?
If so, approximately when?

I found 42 ASRock AM4 motherboards supporting PS/2
but zero AM5 versions.
