HD sound is enabled in the BIOS, the mobo documentation says the wonky-looking jacks are supposed to detect the connections. The Realtek driver is supposed to support 7.1 surround sound. I only have 5.1 speakers (Logitech Z906... nice speakers).

I have reloaded the Realtek driver.

In both the Realtek Audio Console speaker test and the Windows speaker test only the front speakers put out any sound.

This seems like a familiar tune. I've seen posts about other mobos and this issue.

Still thought I might try a post. See if any new good advice is offered.
