It was simply the wording that was a bit confusing. That and there was no such list on the C226 WS. Just figured I would check.

The general answer to your question is the E3 v3 processors in the HDMI supported list, are the E3 v3 processors that have integrated graphics included with the processor. There are many models of E3 v3 processors that do not have integrated graphics.

The C226M WS "HDMI supported" list missed an E3 model or two that have integrated graphics, but you can see what I mean in this listing from Intel:

Unfortunately, that list of E3 v3 processors is a clumsy way of saying only E3 v3 processors that have integrated graphics will be able to use the HDMI output on this board.

The C226 WS board is really no different than the C226M WS regarding the "HDMI supported" situation with the E3 v3 processors. But the C226 WS specs simply do not include that list of processors that have integrated graphics.

The answer to your specific question is probably obvious by now. The i3-4130T will work with the HDMI on this board, because it has integrated graphics.

Hello,
I just came across the ASRock C226M WS and noticed the HDMI support is listed as only working with specific cpu's.

** HDMI only works with certain Intel^® E3 v3 CPUs(E3-1276 v3 /E3-1246 v3 /E3-1226v3 /E3-1275L v3 /E3-1286 v3/E3-1286L v3)

**Haswell i5/i7 processor support is an extended advantage provided by ASRock Rack. It is out of warranty; user's discretion is required.

In the supported list I know many of those cpus are extremely similar to the intel i3/i5/i7's. However there's nothing definitive shown other than that limited number of E3 chips.

So the question - will the Intel Core i3-4130T work with the hdmi on this board?


And if not the ASRock C226 WS - doesn't list those limitations. So would the i3-4130T work with hdmi on that?
