Author: Skybuck
Subject: 26787
Posted: 08 Sep 2025 at 3:29am

Windows 11 23H2 runs fine on this system.
Windows 11 24H2 should not be installed on this system for now, more on this in a moment.

But first this:

The Kingston KC3000 has a firmware update available which will restore it's write speed to what it should be.

This firmware can be installed with Kingston SSD Manager (google it/download it/install it), this is software written for Microsoft Windows.

Next:

Windows 11 24H2 is a buggy operating system causing files to be lost, especially after recent august 2025 updates.

It's all over the internet, web, youtube, etc, so I won't go into further details also to safe myself time.

To stop windows 11 24h2 updates:

1. Pause windows updates.

2. Disable windows update service. (Start->Search->services.msc).

3. If possible refuse upgrade from windows 10 to windows 11.

4. Special attention to how to tell windows 11 23H2 system how to stay on Windows 11 23h2:

Start->Search:

Edit Group Policy->Administrative Templates->Windows Components->Windows Update->
Manage end user experiences->Configure Automatic Updates->Disabled

(This will force manual windows updates)

Also:

Edit Group Policy->Administrative Templates->Windows Components->Windows Update->
Manage updates offered from Windows Update->Select the target Feature Update version->Enabled

Edit->

Which Windows product version would you like to receive features updates for e.g.Windows 10:
Windows 11

Target Version for Feature Update:
23H2

Hopefully this will be enough to prevent any Microsoft blunders from ending up nice systems like this ! ;)

So far I've been lucky two times: processor blow up (prevented), losing files... (prevented)

Edited by Skybuck - 08 Sep 2025 at 3:32am

Update monitor firmware for improved colors.
2. Update pc case firmware for pc case display and fans.
3. Update keyboard firmware further.

Perhaps:
4. Install Ryzen Master
5. Install Mouse Driver

( Windows 11, Chipset driver, Graphics drivers, DirectX, MSI Center already installed, vc runtime libraries for certain games still missing, most notably Starwars Battlefront 2. I play on playing some World of Warships tonight).

Downloading World of Warships was first slow 80 KByte/sec, apperently it was still punching through the windows 11 firewall. After restarting the game client the download reach it max peak of 25 Megabyte/sec (The limit I set just in case). The game installed noticeably very fast, probably a few minutes. Normally this would take hours or days even, so this proved to me the system is very powerfull and usefull.

I hope you enjoyed the picture ;) and I hope you enjoyed the video !

Now you know what to expect if you copy-cat this build ! I wish you the best !

Bye,
Skybuck.

P.S.: This build feels very relaxed... ready for the digital future !

Last time I build my own PC was in 2006. I have messed with it throughout the years and also messed with some laptops, but now it's time to build a digital ferrari ! ;) =D Hopefully all goes well.

I take it slow, step by step, day by day, my videos might shine some questions that you have on this particular hardware... I try to film as much as possible from all kinds of sides, but I am no expert at filming, it's kinda difficult to do, but in case you want me to film anything in particular or from a certain angle, now is the time to request it in this thread ! ;) =D

Below is the specification/components for this build, I have no idea if it will work, but I did my best to select the best/top components I could find for my needs ! ;) which is lost of speed, lots of ram, lots of storage space, lots of bandwidth ! ;) lots of gigahertz and some decent ammount of threads, plus something extras 3D v-cache... to maybe bring down RAM access speed by faster caches a thing to come in the future, integrated RAM on CPU.

Skybuck's SuperPC for 2023 youtube/video playlist, unboxing, build, etc, work in progress:

Build date: 7 october 2023

https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL0HGds8aHQsAbzRQHDtSlhxEAeGj5rzil

Skybuck's Super PC for 2023 design version 11 final:

Publication date: 26 april 2023

(All components ordered, payed, delivered and present, build will commence in the coming days/weeks/months, hurt my back, had an operation, build delayed, but will proceed...)

***************************************************
Component Selection/Design & Description/Specifics:
***************************************************

1. 4K OLED Monitor: ASUS OLED PG42UQ (native resolution: 3840x2160, Herz: 138 Hz, 16:9, response time: 0.1 ms, wide screen: 42.0 inch, HDMI 2.0/2.1, DisplayPort, HDR10)

2.
