    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://forum.asrock.com/member_profile.asp?PF=2173">thegreywizard</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 2684<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 19 Jun 2016 at 3:03am<br /><br />I am running an Asrock X99M Extreme4 mobo with a special bios from Asrock that allows me to set a 32 character ATA password on SSDs.&nbsp; I am then using Samsung 850 Pro SSDs which have 256 bit AES hardware encryption.<br><br>I am also running a dual boot Ubuntu/windows setup with separate SSDs for each OS &amp; will be adding a 3rd SSD for my media that I will also set an ATA password to encrypt it.<br><br>I've searched the internet, but this is a very deep subject with not a lot of info persay.&nbsp; I will contact Asrock and see if they have any suggestions.<br><br>Thanks for the help.<br>]]>

Not all current ASRock boards have this feature, and we have no idea what mother board you are using.<br><br>Some ASRock boards have a feature called USB Key, that is used to store a username and password for logging in to Windows. But I'm sure this would work only at the Windows/OS level, and would not help you with ATA passwords.<br><br>I get the feeling that ATA drive passwords do not have an automated, multiple drive capability, due to the nature of the specification, but I could be wrong. Have you ever searched the Internet for anything like you are looking for?<br>]]>
