You can run "Disk Management" in Windows to see if the disk shows up in there.
"Create and formation hard disk partitions"

Oh, and on the original board, make sure CSM is disabled in BIOS. I assume it's disabled by default, already, though.

I don't know what's going on with the fan light flickering. Can it be power supply struggling?

TechPowerUp says 700W PS is recommended for RX 6950 XT, so I'd think Corsair 750 is good enough, but these things are complicated.

I have just installed the NVMe drive in a different computer. I don't know how to check if that computer recognizes this drive but I noticed however that there is a blinking red light coming from the SSD which doesn't happen when the SSD is installed in the new computer.

What could that mean? I believe the plastic PCIe retainer is nothing more than a physical retainer, so I can't imagine it affecting anything electrical, unless it flew into a component and broke something else.

The other m.2 slots are connected to the chipset, not directly to the CPU. So if the NVMe drive doesn't work in any of the m.2 slots, I suspect the SSD is actually the broken part, not anything else.

I have noticed something however:

When I installed the GPU a piece of plastic (the retaining latch/clip) from the PCIe slot where you insert the GPU broke off (https://imgur.com/mkIW4j0) (https://imgur.com/LV3FHTv) and I think there is a loose connection because of it. Whenever the GPU turns on the lights of the case fans start flickering.

Looking at the motherboard specs, ANY of the m.2 slots (other than the m.2 WiFi slot, obviously) will support an NVMe drive. The M2_1 slot is of course the best, since it's direct to CPU.

Can you try it on another m.2 slot, to eliminate the possibility that the SSD itself is bad?

If it works on another m.2 slot, that would indicate other possibilities, such as bad connection between CPU pads and the socket "fingers," or even a bad CPU.

After building the PC (https://pcpartpicker.com/list/sYYRkJ) I am booting it up for the first time and trying to install Windows 11 via USB on it. Sadly, I get the message that no drives where found when choosing where to install it.

It looks like this: https://www.thewindowsclub.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/No-drives-were-found-1.png The TEAMGROUP MP33 2 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 3.0 X4 NVME SSD is installed in the M2_1 slot which according to the manual of the motherboard (ASRock B650M Pro RS WiFi Micro ATX AM5 Motherboard) supports type 2260/2280 PCIe Gen5x4 mode. Is that the correct M.2 slot for this SSD?

I have tried changing settings in BIOS but I couldn't find any options there to enable M.2. I have also tried to install AMD chipset drivers for the motherboard (https://www.asrock.com/MB/AMD/B650M%20Pro%20RS/index.asp#Download) hoping that it would then recognize the SSD drive. In the storage options I only see SATA and nothing about M.2. https://imgur.com/x2mK4M3
