It was installed into the ultra m.2 slot and no other storage devices was connected. Unfortunately it will not show up in the bios or windows installer. We have tried many things with bios settings and nothing works. We updated the bios from 3.90 to 5.60 however this has also not worked. We have tried removing the cmos battery for 10 minutes also has not worked. Im struggling to find any info around this motherboard. I have checked the qvl storage list however most drives there are not available for purchase or are extremely expensive. Thanks.

His cpu: Ryzen 5 2600x

I purchased a x16 nvme to pcie adapter and plugged the drive into this. Straight away this worked and the drive showed up in bios and was able to install windows 10 with no issues. The drive has the same speeds as if it were plugged into m2_1. I would assume this crucial p3 drive suffers from a compatibility issue that is not listed on asrock compatibility list for this motherboard.
