You have to bare in mind that the motherboard manufacturer does not create drivers. The drivers packaged with any motherboard come from the vendors who's components are included on the board in question. LAN drivers come from intel/Realtek, USB3/3.1 drivers come from Intel/Asmedia etc. Manufacturers can not/will not release drivers that do not exist or have been tested and found unstable with their particular hardware.

We see questions/complaints like this on the forums all the time. Sadly no matter how much a manufacturer may want to provide better performing drivers for their products they are only able to provide what is available. Some manufacturers may fine tune or tweak vendor drivers to suit a particular product better but for the most part, even then, the changes are cosmetic, adding the manufacturer logo to the splash screen of an audio applet for example.

If a vendor driver is available for a particular component but has not been provided on a motherboard's download page it means the driver is either untested with that product or was found to be buggy with the product's particular configuration. Also, older products often do not have their driver pages updated beyond a certain point.

All these statements are true of all motherboard manufacturers and are not specific to ASRock.

I hope this helps clear things up for you. If you are wanting better USB drivers for windows 10 then you will be better served posting a thread on Intel/Asmedia forums (depending on the controller on your board).

yes thanks as long as I don't have a usb stick plugged in it will boot fine.
 
My point is I don't want to rely on the windows 10 drivers for my devices, I have always in the past made sure I source the manufacturers specific drivers and not settled for the generic Microsoft drivers.  It is disappointing that ASROCK have not yet supplied these drivers for win10 x64

We have the same board so I'm not sure why your 3.1 is not installing properly. As you can see I've enabled usb 3.1 in the BIOS and the Microsoft driver is installed.

Did you solve your slow boot issue?

Personally, I would NOT install a Windows 7 driver in windows 10. If you have a usb front panel i.e. card reader, usb3, usb2 connected to the motherboard,...disconnect it for troubleshooting.

This is a snapshot of my usb tree and all usb connected devices work.

sorry yes I have both driver issue and boot time issue.  I will take a usb stick out tomorrow and see if that helps with the boot time.
 
driver booster was quite good and cleaned up a lot of driver issues but also presented a new problem with the usb 3.1 driver.  After updating the usb 3.1 driver when I inserted a usb drive nothing would happen, I reverted back to the windows 7 usb 3.1 driver from the ASROCK site and it started working again.

Your original post read like you had driver issues, what you have is slow boot up!

What usb devices to you have connected? If you have anything more than a mouse and a keyboard it will slow the boot process. I have a wheel connected and it takes >12s, and without <6s. It could be a simple thing like a front panel unit plugged into the usb ports,...I've experienced that. :(

What BIOS version are you running? Do you get an error message on boot to desktop? Use Driver Booster to find and install the latest driver.

Yes I had since found the nvme driver from the Samsung site thanks anyway.
 
The 3.1 driver from the ASROCK site only shows up under windows 7 drivers and not windows 10 drivers.
 
Also the native win10 driver for the 3.0 controller keeps stopping and this is why I was trying to get a specific manufacturer driver rather than use the Microsoft driver.
