Three of your fans might be a bit much for the Chassis fan header.

Some fans will draw more than their rated power if run at full speed, when first starting up. That spec is called the "Safety Current", which is usually not given by most manufactures, including Corsair. The usual Safety Current specs I've seen is twice the maximum current.

There is no spec for the Chassis fan header on your board. That means it is at best 1.0A, and most likely less, 0.5A being common now.

I would not want to run three fans whose total power usage is over 0.5A on a fan header with an unknown current spec. If the fans were rated at 0.15A or less, then using three on one header would be fine.

Hi. I'm wondering if i can power 3 fans from 1 fan header on the motherboard, if i use a 3-way fan splitter.

I have a 970m Pro3 Mobo and 3 AF140 LED fans that each need 0,23 amps.

Does the power fan header on the mobo give enough amps for 3 fans, or should i only plug in 2 fans?
