(Sigh, I hate it when Intel releases their HEDT processor update for use with the previous generation chipset board. In this case, that's Broadwell-E in an X99 board. Before this, it was Ivy Bridge-E in X79 boards. We'll be seeing posts like this for months to come... Ouch )

Without the Broadwell-E compatible UEFI update, your PC will not POST, and therefore no way to install the UEFI update with the tool in the UEFI. Don't bother diagnosing your hardware anymore, the appropriate UEFI version is the problem, period.

Your board requires at least UEFI version 3.00 for Broadwell-E support:

The UEFI version shipped with your board can be found printed on a sticker on the UEFI chip. The UEFI chips (two) can be found at the bottom, right hand side of the board. Processor UEFI support can be found here:

Your choice of PC hardware for a first build was very unlucky. This situation is rare hardware-wise, and many people do not realize they must update the UEFI version before a Broadwell-E processor can be used. Intel has still not provided a way around this situation.

Your options:

Somehow get a Haswell-E processor to use in your board to perform the UEFI update.

Replace the UEFI chips with ones that have the appropriate version in them. You can do that in two ways.

One is to purchase them directly from ASRock, using this link to begin the process:

Another is to purchase the UEFI chip with the correct UEFI version in them from sellers on eBay. I cannot advocate one of these sources over another, so that is the most I can tell you about that method.

I'm sorry but that is all you can do.

Hey thanks for the reply. I forgot to mention that after these pics were taken I did plug in the cpu power 8 pin connector and still no video. From the pictures you posted, it looks like you forgot to plug in your 8 pin cpu plug. Its right above the blue heatsink that says X99. Hope this helps.
