    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://forum.asrock.com/member_profile.asp?PF=3269">simonastro</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 2917<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 27 Jun 2016 at 5:48pm<br /><br />Hey man<br />Sorry I'm in a different time zone. <br />Psu is a Chieftec 500 and the machine dates from 2010.<br />Cpu was unmoved when I cleaned the cooler (thermal paste was soft) and I have swapped everything into the newer motherboard. <br />Tonight I'll reseat all mb connectors. <br />I've been religiously resetting cmos before every action - this board even has a reset switch on the back, but also popping the battery and moving the jumpers (depressing on switch whilst unplugged etc) . I've read though that cmos is hard to clear though. <br /><br />]]>

It worked well until I took the cpu cooler off to clean the dirt off. <br />When I refitted it refused to post and threw up error 99. I removed all cards and get error d6. With graphics card it shows error 99. <br />Sent of to the states for replacement motherboard and it has exact same readings. Have endlessly cleared cmos. No joy. <br /><br />Does anyone know what could be the problem? Am at my wits end and now 2 weeks late recording new album!<br /><br />Cheers <br /><br />Simon]]>
