The 5800X3D requires 4.80 on your board. If you just want support for the 5800X3D
then I would update to that and call it a day. You should be able to update directly
to 4.80 without issue. If you were to update to 5.00+ there may be additional steps
(can't say for sure). Hi all,
I'm currently running an AMD 5600x on a X570 Taichi motherboard.
The BIOS version is P4.00.

Can someone please tell me if I would have to update the BIOS to upgrade my cpu to a 5800x3d and which version I should go for (5.60???).

I'm reluctant to flash my bios unless I have to.
