Author: Mike231
Subject: 3089
Posted: 23 Jul 2016 at 12:33am

Hello.
CPU - i5 6500
Cooler - Cooler Master cp6-9hdsa-pl-gp (4pin, manufacturer says that this model must support pwm)
The problem is that when I'm trying to adjust fan speed in uefi settings, nothing's happend. Fan just continue spinning at 3000 RPM (Around 70% of fullspeed).
The only method to make fan control works - download SpeedFan, run it, choose "configure", go to "Advanced" and change "PWM 2 Mode" from "Smart Fan IV" to "Manual".

And then I can change my fan speed trough this software.
But I'm think, this is not really good option for me, use some kind of software layer to control fan speed. Especially, if this cooler (cp6-9hdsa-pl-gp) was working with previous motherboard with native uefi fan control.
Is there method or solution to make it work with uefi fan speed settings?
Best Regards, Mike.
