It should be set to Auto now. Set it to Enabled instead of Auto. Save and Exit the UEFI, and you're done.<br><br>Your analysis of the situation is exactly correct. But it can be modified to work as you desire.<br><br>The description of the settings and operation of this option from your board's manual:<br><br><div -canvas-width="376.7641229378678" style="left: 93.3906px; top: 619.071px; font-size: 11.4583px; font-family: sans-serif; trans: scaleX0.996731;"><font size="3">Enable/disable onboard HD audio. Set to Auto to enable onboard HD audio and </font></div><div -canvas-width="255.96646173029274" style="left: 93.3906px; top: 637.691px; font-size: 11.4583px; font-family: sans-serif; trans: scaleX0.980714;"><font size="3">automatically disable it when a sound card is installed.</font></div><br>]]>
