Author: Xaltar
Subject: 3291
Posted: 22 Aug 2016 at 4:00am

It isn't on the support list for the board but that really doesn't mean much as the lists are very seldom updated as new RAM models are released or BIOS updates add new support.

The best way to check is to search the other way around, see if the RAM has a supported list of boards. Generally though I have not seen much in the way of incompatibility with SODIMMs. Laptop memory specs are a lot more rigid than desktop RAM. I would guess the RAM you listed should work fine. It is double sided like much/all of the RAM listed on the support list for your board and I am willing to bet at least some of the modules listed use samsung memory chips. Another good indicator is that it is fairly standard spec RAM, 4gb of DDR3 1600, you can't get much more average than that. I would be more concerned about compatibility if it were an 8gb module as fewer of those are listed for your board and larger capacities tend to be a common cause of incompatibility.

So the short answer is I think it should work but you may want to check the compatibility list for the RAM to see if it lists your board or at least any other Q1900 based boards.
