Author: Jd27
Subject: 3380
Posted: 05 Sep 2016 at 9:14pm

I'm having an issue with a EP2C612D16C-4L dual Xeon motherboard. I flashed the BIOS to the latest one (2.10). I built the system, and most of it works, but when trying to plug in 3 extra network cards (quad port Broadcom 5709C), it does not power up. Literally, it does not power up. Stone dead. I can plug one card in to slot PCIE6, and it works fine, but when I try to plug another Broadcom quad port 5709C NIC into any other slot, the system will not power up. As this build is a VMware server, I need more NICs for this system. I did try plugging a power cable into the PCI power connector (item 57 in the manual), but then the system would not power on either. Help!
