BTW I am using LinuxMint 18 and UBUNTU 16.04 in a dual boot. Both have this problem.

This BIOS is for our internal test to fix the issue about Linux OS, therefore, we haven't update this BIOS to our website and mark it as "L"1.71 version.
Despite of this, we still suggest user following the product SPEC to install the supported OS.

I recently built a system with the H110M-HDS motherboard only to find the problem you describe. I agree with whoever responded above that I should have known better. (Doesn't help my problem but ...) Have you gotten a response from ASROCK on your ticket? From my research most other motherboards makers have resolved this problem with a BIOS update. I understand there was some BIOS update from ASROCK that is not generally available. (That is why I came to this forum with the hope that I could find more info.) I found your post and ....

My first workaround was ACPI=OFF at GRUB boot followed by disabling the GPE6F interrupt.

sudo -s gedit /etc/rc.local

then copy and paste

echo "disable" > /sys/firmware/acpi/interrupts/gpe6F

My system is usable at this point. This is where I stand now with the idea that I will try to understand and pursue a more permanent fix that hopefully won't force me to use another motherboard.

If you have learned anything better please add to your post.

I did open a ticket long before I wrote this post, then I got an acknowledgement email immediately confirming my ticket was received.

But since then I got no response, just nothing.

If you type "asrock gpe6F" at google, you will know how many cases out there.

This is just an FYI.

Assuming your problem is caused by the issue in that link, which I do not know if it is or not, there is something else to consider.

You do know that Linux of any type is not officially supported by your board, right?

Does the Linux version you are using have driver updates that are compatible with the new Intel 100 series Skylake chipsets, like your board's H110?

Lack of drive compatibility and availability is the main reason Linux is not officially supported by this board. Not to mention the myriad variants, possible driver combinations, and lack of driver support from the manufacture of the chipset, Intel.

The first reply to the question in the link you supplied, backs up my statement, which is simply the reality of the situation.

Your post makes this issue sound like a simple, obvious fix. If you are lucky, it might be. I'm not confident that it is, or will be addressable by one party alone.
