I figured this out eventually. the case has a controller that you can plug up to 3 fans into if you want to control case fans with a switch. now i get it. thanks!



yes just basic fan. the case has a switch on the rear fan to set  low/medium/high speed . so there are three wires with what looks like a sata power connector.

i have the front one connected and working but it only has one 3 pin connector.

We're talking simple blow in and blow out chassis fans here, NOT any AiO water cooling radiator fans, right?
