    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://forum.asrock.com/member_profile.asp?PF=4409">oakwoody</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 3939<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 04 Dec 2016 at 2:34am<br /><br /><a href="" target="_blank" rel="nofollow"></a>System: Z170M Extreme4, i5-6600k CPU, EVGA 650 G1 PSU, 16GB Kinston HyperX @ 2400GHz, Windows 10 64bit, Gigabyte GTX 1060, Corsair H60 CPU cooler, 2 x Thermaltake Riing chassis fans.<br><br>Problem: Upon power up, fan connected to the connector CHA_FAN1 is not recognized as present by the BIOS. The fan runs at 100% regardless of the fan profile set in BIOS. The FanTastic app has no effect on the fan either. If I shut down the system and reboot immediately, the fan is recognized and will obey the fan profile.<br><br>I've tried so far: Removed all peripherals including the GPU, tried with two different fans (BitFenix Spectre and Thermaltake Riing), disabled Windows "quick start", set the system to go to deep sleep. No effect.<br><br>Asrock support wants me to RMA the mobo, but since it works after a shutdown and restart, I think it's a software problem... any ideas?<br><br>]]>
