    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://forum.asrock.com/member_profile.asp?PF=3460">hugga</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 3955<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 06 Dec 2016 at 6:29am<br /><br />Hi all<br><br>I'm interested in the E3V5 WS motherboard for a basic server.&nbsp; <br><br>Firstly, I'd like to know if this motherboard truly utilities ECC (with supported CPU), or if it just disables ECC functionality and the modules still work?&nbsp; Many manufacturers say "supports ECC" but when you read the fine print they mean that ECC modules can be used but do not have ECC function enabled.<br><br>Also The CPU compatibility list <a href="http://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/E3V5%20WS/%3Fcat=Memory" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/E3V5%20WS/?cat=Memory</a> doesn't categorize by ECC memory type and I really don't want to check every one.&nbsp; Does anyone know if any of the list modules are ECC, or can anyone recommend ECC memory for this motherboard that they know works?<br><br>I usually buy Kingston, but this motherboard isn't listed on their site.<br><br>Thanks!<br>]]>
