Best you can do is the 10core i7-6950x i guess (if supported). There are also xeons with even more cores, but those have separate clusters and ringbusses, so single core performance might suffer. If you can pick up one for cheap it might be worth while, but don't expect miracles.

versus shows an 28% advantage in passmark score
https://versus.com/en/intel-core-i7-5930k-vs-intel-core-i7-6950x

    Author: jbaflyer
Subject: 40063
Posted: 28 May 2024 at 11:12am

Hello all, I have an ASRock X99 WS motherboard with an i7 E5 v3/Core 5930K @ 3.50GHz. I would like to know if upgrading to an i9 will improve performance. I currently work in AutoCAD, Sketchup, Solidworks, and Photoshop.
The current hardware is Win10, 256GB RAM, 1TB SSD Samsung 840 EVO, three additional 1TB SSD drives, and Nvidia Quadro M4000 (3 - 2560x1600 displays). I have delayed upgrading to Windows 11 and would like to for as long as I can.
I would appreciate knowing what you think the performance increase would be. Is it noticeable or not noticeable? Also, if you could let me know the i9 chip to use, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
