To parsec:

There is a 4 pins connector but the mechanical coding avoids to connect a standard plug. Its name is "speaker1" and it's referenced as a "diagnostic speaker" in the doc if I remember well. Concerning the HDMI port I don't know why I was not able to make it work cause I just plugged it on my TV with an extended desktop and it works perfectly now... and you're right there is no option in the CMOS to enable/disable it.

On your side do you still have problems ?

To conclude I don't think that this thread will be helpfull for anyone cause I didn't find the way to diagnose the MB in case it does not boot. Though I have opened a ticket to asrock support and if I have an answer I will post it on this thread.

Sorry to say, while the UEFI/BIOS has an option to enable the POST beep speaker, this board does not have a standard, three pin beep speaker header. So supplying a three pin beep speaker would be useless. I have passed that on to ASRock.

I have no idea if the four pin, dual speaker header also acts as a POST beep speaker.

If you had video output to the monitor, you should see POST codes shown on the screen during startup, which happens so quickly on a simple board like this, you'll only see it if POST fails.

You read HDMI was disabled by default? No offense, but that is completely false, and I would never believe someone saying that, without at least testing it myself. I cannot recall ever seeing an option in any ASRock board, or any board's UEFI/BIOS, that would enable or disable a video output.

The first video output I used on my DeskMini 110W was the HDMI output. Worked perfectly, and also worked with a 40" HDTV.

Does Kingston on their website declare this kit as compatible?

STX boards are new so some oddities are to be expected. It's unfortunate, but a reality. Case made by one company, mobo by another who is most likely following the STX format standards.

Hi wardog,

The buzzer (internal speaker) is not part of the mobo but provided with the case. I bought the desk mini 110 so when you buy the mobo and the case all together you expect to have all the tools for your mobo, especially when plugs are not standard.

H110m-stx specs:

1 x Internal Speaker Header(4-Pin)

And it's a brand new configuration to answer your question.

Buzzers were on AT boards. Most ATX boards do not have buzzers.

Is this a new build? Or one that has been running fine now for some time?

Hi,

My cpu is a core i5 6600t, memory is a 2x8GB Kingston hyperx 2133mhz.

Actually I don't know if it's a problem of display or if the system does not boot until the bios.

I would like to know how to diagnose the problem. There is a 4 pins plug marked as speaker1 on the MB so I suppose that's to plug a buzzer but the format is not standard, there is a plastic arounding the pins that blocks a standard buzzer plug.

I'm really astonished that asrock was not able to put a buzzer in its case especially if the speaker plug of the mobo is not standard ... completely stupid considering the price of such a component.
