I've tried that with the fan on CHA_FAN1 (which could go from 2000 RPM to 500 RPM) and it's the same too. Any fan that is plugged into CHA_FAN2 will be stuck at 1050 RPM.

Edited by xnivx01 - 29 Dec 2016 at 9:26am

On CHA_FAN1, the speed control works no matter it's Jetflo with or without silent adapter, SickleFlow works well too so I guess the board can control it with voltage or PWM. However, on CHA_FAN2 nothing works.

The CM Jetflo is a four pin PWM fan, and the Sickleflow is a three pin voltage controlled fan.

We've heard reports that the four pin fan headers on the more budget oriented boards are only working in PWM mode, so the Jetflow at least should work on the CHA_FAN2 header.

Are you using the low noise adapter cable with the Jetflo fan? That makes it the equivalent of a three pin voltage controlled fan.

As a test, try installing your board's A-Tuning program. The FANTastic Tuning feature in it has a Fan Test button on each of the fan header screens. Select the CHA_FAN2 header screen and run the Fan Test by clicking that button. Try the Jetflo without the low noise adapter, the normal four pin connection. You should easily hear the Jetflo (I have several) at full speed, which is how the test starts. It then reduces the speed of the fan to its minimum speed, which also should be audible.

When the Fan Test is complete, the fan will again run at full speed. You must click the Apply button to select the fan speed profile on the screen, which by default matches the setting in the UEFI/BIOS. You could try the same thing with the three pin Sickleflo.

Please let us know what results you get.
