Author: Mich
Subject: 4114
Posted: 28 Dec 2016 at 11:59pm

Except 2x cold boot with additional loading time everything works fine of course..

After i tried almost everything including clearing cmos with battery removal, changing all possible bios options and trying different hardware(memory, psu+ front panel) and etc and etc...

now i can be 99% sure the problem is motherboard sending voltage to ram too early (when its not enough or too much) which cause second boot with full memory testing (voltage, frequency, timings...) - if you set manually frequency, voltage in uefi it loads fine in hot reset but not cold one..
yes i tried few different memories (and they are compatible with this board on their official site)

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

which means board is ignoring "power-good" ("PWR_OK") signal from psu... (i tested with few different psu (even pricey one) - and they all worked fine with more than 5 different motherboards+memory before)

the question is can you fix it via new bios/uefi (i think even simple additional ~1sec wait before memory POST test should work) and how soon , or its completely hardware problem - and all your apollo lake boards are that faulty???

and yes maybe there is some memory which will work better - but fix should be pretty easy for almost all memory, right???

PS: please send it to your bios/uefi coder... bcs your official support is....
