You could try a single cheap DDR4 2133 module that is on the ASRock Taichi QVL list in the interim, if it works then you know where the problem lies and can update the BIOS and see if that resolves the issue.&nbsp;</div>]]>

I was trying to be conservative, take forum advice, and get matched sticks for the full memory capacity of this motherboard and CPU from the outset. &nbsp;I chose Corsair Vengeance, CMK128GX4M8B3000C16. &nbsp;<br><br>It was my (possibly skewed) understanding that Corsair Vengeance and Dominator memory at the same rated frequency is the same - with different heat sink styles. Corsair Dominator&nbsp;<span style="color: rgb204, 204, 204; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 13.5px; text-align: -webkit-center; : rgb40, 40, 40;">CMD16GX4M4B3000C15&nbsp;</span>is on the Taichi QVL list, so I (perhaps prematurely) concluded that the Vengeance 3000Mhz should work. Maybe the QVL list is supposed to be taken more literally?&nbsp;<br><br>Shouldn't the 3000Mhz memory be able to boot and function at the default frequency, 2133MHz? Is this a reasonable expectation? I have always favored Corsair for example. I use Corsair because it has never given me any issues over the 15 or so years I have been using them.
