I have one of these boards with 2 x Xeon e5 2670's, when I set the fan control to "Smart" in the bios , I see no option to set target speeds and temps, also there are no details in the manual other than one brief mention concerning pin connectors.

My fans are 4 pin, when I set the fans to Smart, it just drops the speed to 700 rpm and stays there no matter how hard I stress the CPU's.

Does anyone use this feature or have any info on it ?
