I have my board plugged into an old case that has a broken USB front panel that I plugged into USB connector 1. Once I unplugged it from the mother board (broken anyway and stupid me still plugged it in) it started working. I guess these new boards can really detect a short or broken device very efficiently and very strictly. Side note: My previous board a Z77 Extreme4 ( I guess I love Asrock) had this very same broken USB front panel connector connected to my board and worked.

Edited by nandoe34 - 22 Jul 2018 at 4:56pm
