    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://forum.asrock.com/member_profile.asp?PF=140">Xaltar</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 427<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 18 Jul 2015 at 12:53pm<br /><br />That is a 16gb ADATA XPG v3 DDR3 3000 kit (2x8gb).&nbsp;<div><br></div><div>Odiebugs is mostly right about the speeds, more often than not when the RAM is clocked over 2400 it has terrible timings and or is rated at a higher voltage than the standard 1.5v DDR3 kits. I can get my Adata XPG DDR3 1600 kit to 2800 if I adjust the voltage and timings to match my Apacer DDR3 2800 kit. The difference is that the Apacer kit is better binned and generates less heat than my 1600 kit at those speeds. Faster ram does make a difference to certain workloads but even then the difference is negligible.&nbsp;</div><div><br></div><div>Ultimately with RAM, if it is at a good price it does not matter what speed it is (1600 and above). The major concern is compatibility, not all DDR3 works on all systems. DDR3 has been with us for a very long time now and has evolved significantly since its inception. &nbsp;</div>]]>
