It doesn't like 3.5 mm rear mics. However, the front mic does work and I have it bridged with the sound card. Neither rear port detects the mic. USB mics work as well. I promise its not the mic or windows. I have had a thread open on Microsofts forums for a few months now. Now that I am having issues with other mobo related stuff I am wondering if the chipset is failing.</td></tr></table><br /><br />I don't need say this yet RMA it if you feel the MB is faulty. Heck yea.<br /><br /><br />Though, from here mind you I don't feel it's the MB.
