I am happy to hear you solved the problem. Bad drives can cause a lot of headaches. yes, i rememeber when SSD was failing on my for the first time - i was pretty sure it was motherboard or memory and wouldent think its SSD, because i thought it should be more reliable than HDD... yeah, right..

BTW you might try to make an image from your SSD drive and use it in virtual machine. When the writes fail the OS stops being bootable from the drive, but reads might still work (if accessed purely for reads from OS booted from other drive).

SOLVED!
MY M.2/nvme samsung 980 pro 2tb DRIVE is faulty. I removed it and temp installed windows on a separate drive and it works perfect. yes, you can try FW 1.30 as05, as mentioned by mrbill. It is a version with different default memory training options.

if trying with minimal components wont help either imo u should contact asrock for rma
