I have a Asrock X370 Killer SLI / 1800x system, and the CPU is likely dead.

What would be the best/most cost effective CPU to upgrade my system with? I'd like to have at least 16 threads.

I've seen various posts about running a 5900x on the X370, but it looks like it comes with some drawbacks, so any other tips would be most welcome.
