Questions about your use of three 960 EVOs in RAID 0:

Have you ever used Intel IRST RAID before?

Have you ever created an Intel IRST RAID array on M.2 NVMe SSDs in the past?

Have you ever installed Windows on a single M.2 NVMe SSD in the past?

What version of Windows are you planning on using?

The more "no" answers you have to the first three questions, the more difficult it will be for you, and the steeper the learning curve will be. If you've never used Intel IRST RAID before, you are taking on a challenging task.

Spoiler: You will NOT get three times the speed of one 960 EVO in RAID 0. You will at best get twice the speed shown in the specification in benchmark tests. RAID 0 is also a trade off in performance, some aspects increase, some do not. Your PC will not boot faster with M.2 SSDs in RAID 0, it will boot slower. A single M.2 SSD will always boot faster than a RAID 0 array.

I've done this many times, with multiple NVMe SSD models. There is no magic in multiple NVMe SSDs in RAID 0 for 95% of PC users.

I recently purchased a new Z170 OC Formula MB (hi wardog!) and Kaby Lake 7700K CPU.  I quickly found out that I could not boot.  Unhappy 
 
I read Xaltar's post about purchasing a new BIOS chipset from ASRock Tech Support.  Has anybody done this?  I have been trying for 6 weeks to get a new BIOS for Kaby Lake.  ASRock tech support is very responsive at first.  We trade e-mails for a few days - they ask where I bought the MB, ask me to send the receipt, ask for my shipping address, and then nothing. 
 
I see the price on ASRock web site is $15 for a new BIOS.  But who/how do I pay?  And how long does it take?  Does anybody have a phone number at ASRock that I can call to give my credit card # and order the updated BIOS?  Thanks!
