If it all looks good reinstall the CPU and try it again being sure to do a full CMOS clear. If that does not get the A channels to work then RMA both CPU and board.<div><br></div><div>I say both because either could be the culprit at that point, the memory controller on the CPU or a defective board. There was a time I would suspect the board outright but lately the CPU has proven to be the issue more often than not&nbsp;<img src="https://forum.asrock.com/smileys/smiley5.gif" border="0" alt="C&#111;nfused" title="C&#111;nfused" />&nbsp;With Skylake and Kaby Lake both using a much thinner substrate we have the risk of warping with over-tight coolers and intel has had some issues with their memory controllers too though that seems to be largely with X99 CPUs.</div><div><br></div><div>If you have access to other compatible parts for your system you could try your CPU in another board and a different CPU in your board. That will at least allow you to rule out one or the other and save the RMA hassle of sending both back.</div><div><br></div><div>Let us know how it goes and good luck&nbsp;<img src="https://forum.asrock.com/smileys/smiley20.gif" border="0" alt="Thumbs Up" title="Thumbs Up" /></div>]]>

    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://forum.asrock.com/member_profile.asp?PF=5066">MD52</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 4503<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 27 Feb 2017 at 2:36am<br /><br />I recently purchased a z170 Extreme6, an i7-7700K processor and Corsair Vengeance 2 x 8gb 3000MHz memory set to upgrade my computer.&nbsp; I installed a new updated BIOS chip for compatibility with the&nbsp; 7700k, but it will only post if I have the memory in the B1 and/or B2 slots, one or two sticks work in the B slots.&nbsp; Installing even a single stick in the A1 or A2 slot the computer will not post and Dr Debug just cycles thru 00, 19 4d continuously.&nbsp; Is this a bad board or is there something else I should try.<br>]]>
