Hi i am having the same issue can someone please help, i followed the steps the other guy said and i have the Hardware lds:

Yeppers. That ID refers to the Intel Trusted Application Execution Interface.

First, thanks to all of you for offering your advice!

The issue has been solved, but I'll post what I did in case anyone else is searching on the same topic:

1. I installed the INF drivers (10.1.1.34) and the Serial IO drivers (30.100.1630.02), rebooting afterwards each time. Didn't fix it.

2. I installed the Trusted Execution Engine, and that took care of it. I thought I had installed this yesterday, when I posted about the issue, but it looks as if I must not have. Anyway, that was it.

Here is what I had for hardware IDs for the device in the Device Manager, for the record:

PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_5A9A&SUBSYS_5A9A1849&REV_0B
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_5A9A&SUBSYS_5A9A1849
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_5A9A&CC_078000
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_5A9A&CC_0780

If the above suggestions fail:

While in Device Manager

1. Right-click PCI Simple Communications Controller, click Properties
2. A new PCI Simple Communications Controller window will open. Go to the Details tab
3. From the drop down list, select Hardware Ids
4. Right click in the box displaying the IDs and choose Select All, then press Ctrl+C to Copy them, then paste them here. Us having that info will allow us to tell you what the device is and then the exact driver you need

All that should be taken care of by the Intel Inf package. Do you have any additional devices connected to the board? I've installed all the drivers available on the disc that came with the motherboard... none of them fix the problem.
