All they could do is replace the board with another with the same flawed processor in it. <br><br>Since the processor in this board is considered an "embedded" part (cannot be replaced by the user), Intel is legally involved in the decision about what will be done.<br><br>Intel may have said a problem exists with these processors, but they have done nothing beyond that. In the past Intel had a problem with a chipset that caused a recall of the boards that used it, and a replacement chipset was provided to mother board manufactures.
