As warhog wardog said, pressing F11 should bring up a boot menu.

First though, if you're trying to boot a W10 flash drive, you are most likely booting into a UEFI installer. Goto the Boot tab, and at the bottom, there is an option for "CSM Compatibility". It's Enabled by default, so disable that.

After you've confirmed that you are in UEFI only mode, try the F11 key again. Your list should be smaller. Also, a good rule of thumb for installing a new OS is to only leave the drive you are installing the OS to plugged in. Unplug all other drives that you may have plugged in.

I don't know why you would need to mess with the USB config settings in the BIOS. Everything is Enabled by default, so if the board is unable to recognize the drive, try another port. I wouldn't try to install from any port that isn't directly attached to the motherboard, just to be sure.

EDIT: If UEFI only mode fails to recognize the drive in all ports, then you likely have a stick that has been configured for CSM. I would not install W10 in CSM mode. You miss out on some Security features, and you also increase your boot time by several seconds.

Hi warhog. It's more like the USB works but the bio isn't detecting it. That's why I can't change to boot from the usb. Isn't F11 during post the Boot Menu option? That will work.

Also, what BIOS revision is it flashed to?


Otherwise, you want to look in the Boot tab, not Advanced.

F11 when you see ASRock on the screen then choose UEFI:<your thumb drive> if you want 10 installed in UEFI Mode.

Hi guys. I need with with my new build. In the BIOS, there isn't USB configuration under the advanced tab like the manual says. Did anyone have that problem and/or know the solution. Trying to install win10 via USB boot but can't since it doesn't give me the option to boot from it.
