Running an SSD in IDE mode?! <img src="https://forum.asrock.com/smileys/smiley18.gif" border="0" alt="Ouch" title="Ouch" /><br><br>You've crippled the potential performance of your SSD using IDE mode. Sure it will be better than any HDD, but only AHCI or RAID mode will give you the full performance of any SSD.<br><br>Gotta love (not) the "Combined mode" of older AMD SATA chipsets. SO important to disable that nonsense. I guess you can't do that with the early BIOS versions for your board.<br>]]>

Not IDE.<br>]]>

I cannot install windows 10 or windows 7 on it at all, no matter what i do, what my boot sequence is, it randomly restarts my computer at various points of the setup/install process. I have tried installing the OS using windows media creation tool DVD and USB and the problem is the same. I am thinking its an issue with my hardware, perhaps the PSU or motherboard itself or a simple BIOS configuration, also... at random times during this process, my USB mouse freezes as well.</div><div><br></div><div>PLEASE HELP!!</div><div><br></div><div>Thank you,&nbsp;</div><div>Steve G</div>]]>
