I'm sorry that miss writing number of product(not Z97 but Z87
The Z97 Extreme4 works well, but did not work in Z87 Extreme4 and H87 Pro4/MVP

You said it cannot recognize the PCIE5 slot in the Z97 Extreme4, but then you said it does recognize it in the next sentence.

Did you put a video card or another kind of card in the PCIE5 slot? Do you have a video card in the PCIE2 slot?

ASRock has a H87 Pro4 board, but nothing called the H87 Pro4/MVP.

Do you have three ASRock boards?

PCIE3 on the Z97 Extreme4 is a PCIe x1 slot

From the User Manual, pg19

PCIe slots: PCIE1 (PCIe 2.0 x1 slot) is used for PCI Express x1 lane width cards. PCIE2 (PCIe 3.0 x16 slot) is used for PCI Express x16 lane width graphics cards. PCIE3 (PCIe 2.0 x1 slot) is used for PCI Express x1 lane width cards. PCIE4 (PCIe 2.0 x1 slot) is used for PCI Express x1 lane width cards. PCIE5 (PCIe 3.0 x16 slot) is used for PCI Express x8 lane width graphics cards. PCIE6 (PCIe 3.0 x16 slot) is used for PCI Express x4 lane width graphics cards.

What CPU is installed? Maybe ran out of lanes?
