When i overclock my ryzen chip the cpu fan speed control is disabled and only spins at whatever spd it needed to in bios which lets cpu temps rise very high.  I even tried manually setting the fan speed in bios and it did not make any difference, cpu fan speed did not change with cpu temp change.
the only options to prevent thermal shutdown was to set fan speed to MAX in bios

ram: vengeance lpx 3200
cpu: r7 1700
gpu: r9 380x

cpu heatsink: stock ryzen 1700 led cooler
