dang you guys got me all excited with the headline of new bios v2.30

so close to v2.2

and still so far from anything useful

due to my 49 year old butt clenching far too much while updating any bios on any board

i think i'll forgo this version the same as i did with v2.2.............

That was a stock CS answer/the usual mis-interpreting the question by a novice CS person.

The best thing usually is to reply with "Sorry if you misunderstood my request, I know this is currently not possible, I am asking for it to be added to a future update" or similar and then see what the response is.

Yes, I know Intel, AMD and NVidia keep a 'tight grip' on things... Yet their partners find 'work-a-rounds' to achieve things or outright customize what is given by the Chip maker. - to our benefit!(usually)

As for my tech support ticket regarding memory timings, I thought it was a real 'basic' request to not only have the Command Rate displayed but also changeable from 1T to 2T(or reverse). As(not this again.... ) other AM4 manufacturers have been able to accomplish things despite the 'tight grip' of AMD.

So when I received the response that I did from techsupport@asrock I could only say..."hmmm".

Yes, they've definitely enabled hot swapping for the drives but I couldn't find anything in the BIOS to allow me to enable/disable this feature. It looks like this version defaults to having it enabled while earlier versions defaulted to disabled. If anyone knows specifically where you can control this feature please let me know.
