    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://forum.asrock.com/member_profile.asp?PF=5435">datonyb</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 5183<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 29 Dec 2020 at 9:47pm<br /><br />xman <br />it does seem the asrock support page for your board has only bios version 2.5 upwards <br />and all are listed as instant flash only <br />which i think is the problem your facing<br /><br />may i suggest <br /><br />contact asrock directly using the support 'ticket' system <br />e.g. open the issue as a broken motherboard and request <br />a <strong>dos</strong> based bios file to be emailed to you<br /><br />please clearly state to them the exact bios version and bios date you are using at the moment AND ALSO the exact cpu you are using<br /><br />they will send you a dos based file to update to the latest version suitable for your cpu that will then enable the instant flash option for any future upgrades to later 2000/3000 cpus<span style="font-size:10px"><br /><br />Edited by datonyb - 29 Dec 2020 at 9:49pm</span>]]>

Any instability or issue during the process and your board will be bricked.<div><br></div><div>The DOS method is your best bet if your BIOS version does not support instant flash. Once you have updated then instant flash will become available (it has been added) and will make things easier the next time you need to update.</div><div><br></div><div>ASRock made a video here that shows the basic steps for all the different methods.
