Hey everyone,

Good news, finally got the exe to work. Turns out it's as simple as using FreeDOS, nothing else works, it will not execute under Win 7, 8.1, 10's DOS boot. Thanks for all the advice and help.

Hi, I had troubles updating the BIOS too.

I tried as you did, then I found out I have the wrong BIOS, then it wasn't updating it, i tried the USB flash and DOS.

Then luckily I found out that the BIOS can be updated from the menu itself via internet.

Selected update from network and it was ok :)

I also had to upgrade my Bios from 1.3 to 2.3 last week via Dos.

It went without a hitch. Thanks for the advice, and don't worry, never tried it. Just curious, as I've done literally everything I could possibly do, but the file just won't run, always throws incompatible system or not compatible with your operating system. This is the only file I can get my hands on, I know of no other way to flash this thing.

As you can imagine, I can't get my 1700 and 3000MHz RAM to go a single increment above stock, fails to POST if I try to change anything. I am on the verge of junking this board and going ASUS.

please DO NOT EVER TRY ANY WINDOWS BIOS FLASHING

it is such a risky way to try and rewrite the most important firmware ever
it is intended to run only in TRUE dos (not a windows shell)
the same applies to any windows based flashing tool its far too risky

Yup, absolutely. Honestly can't think of how else I could copy this, extracted the file onto desktop, drag and drop file directly onto thumb drive, same thing.

Curious, the DOS version, is that designed to work in CMD while in Windows 10?
