This is detrimental when the load is inconsistent and spikes randomly. I tried OCCT stress test and the cpu temp spiked to 80C instantly while the fan is still spinning on idle. After 30 seconds of hovering around near thermal shutdown limit, the fan finally kicks in once the socket sensor is heated up. That's the only issue with this motherboard. I swapped my old Tomahawk for this because of all the hardware improvement, but seems like bios is still weaker than my previous board. I still have 13 days left to return this board, probably will when C6H is in stock.]]>

    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://forum.asrock.com/member_profile.asp?PF=5928">mrpepelepeu</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 5281<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 03 Jun 2017 at 9:56pm<br /><br />I resolved the problem.<div><br></div><div>It seems that the fan speed is controlled by the CPU temp on the sensor on the motherboard, not the CPU.</div><div><br></div><div>Even when I use Ryzen Master as a reference for temps (which +20 Celsius that comes the Ryzen 7) , the temperatures set on the Bios never kick in.&nbsp;</div><div>This is because the temps on the sensor on the motherboard are way much lower than on the processor.</div><div><br></div><div>I used the custom option with temps set much lower than what Ryzen Master shows. Now it works.</div><div><br></div><div>My opinion is that the motherboard's presets should consider this from factory.</div><div><br></div><div>Thank you.</div>]]>
