Author: ReaLx3m
Subject: 54898
Posted: 09 Aug 2024 at 3:32pm

Hi everyone,

Ive run into some problem with the 5700x3d performing lower than normal, and after few weeks i think i narrowed it down. Looks like a bug that could hopefully be solved by bios update.

5700x3d should have 105A limit but with this board it goes max to 94A when running Cinebench, resulting in lower effective clocks and lower performance than normal.
Its as if EDC is hard capped at 2/3 of the 140A limit the 5800x3d has(With auto PBO, Ryzen Master actually shows 140A limit for the 5700x3d for me, and maxes at 67% usage for EDC).
Bios resets have been performed.
I found another guy with the same cpu and board having the exact same issue with bit older bios(3.40).
Heres a link to the reddit thread if this may help:
https://www.reddit.com/r/ASRock/comments/1c3phtk/effective_clock_problem_b550_phantom_gamingitxax/

If you think i got it wrong, and its something i could fix without Asrock updating the bios, im all ears.
