    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://forum.asrock.com/member_profile.asp?PF=140">Xaltar</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 556<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 04 Aug 2015 at 2:12pm<br /><br />I take it the BIOS update did not complete?<div><br></div><div>Do you get the ASRock splash screen after/during the 2 beeps or is the display blank?</div><div><br></div><div>Things you can try:</div><div><br></div><div>Remove all power cords from the system</div><div><span style="line-height: 16.7999992370605px;">Press power button and hold it for 10/20 seconds to be sure all residual power is discharged</span></div><div>Remove CMOS battery</div><div>Set clear CMOS jumper to the clear position</div><div>Leave the system for 4 hours or so</div><div>Set clear CMOS jumper back to default position</div><div>Replace battery&nbsp;</div><div>Try to boot again</div><div><br></div><div>Failing that:</div><div><span style="line-height: 1.4;">Disconnect all drives and unneeded peripherals</span></div><div>Remove RAM and try one module in A1 then B1 slots</div><div><br></div><div>The 2 beeps could be either faulty RAM (in this case it could be misreading the RAM) or post failure due to hardware error (sadly probably this due to a bad flash).</div><div><br></div><div>If none of these things help you can contact ASRock Tech support and they can send you a new BIOS chip for your board for about $15, much cheaper than buying a replacement.</div><div><br></div><div>Best of luck to you.</div>]]>

When the system is turned on, I hear two beeps and that's all I get.
