It updated and said it completed successfully and then went into a constant boot loop, I tried swapping everything on the motherboard, including the CPU and it still wouldn't POST at all and gave that 4b error no matter what I tried.

    Author: dagreek05
Subject: 5564
Posted: 13 Jul 2017 at 4:10am

So I bought a x370 Fatal1ty X370 Professional Gaming motherboard and was told to update my BIOS per ASRock, due to the issues I was having. So I updated to 2.4 and then my motherboard would constantly boot loop (wouldn't post at all) with the debug code of 4b (Memory issue). So I went out and bought 6 different brands of new memory, and none of them worked. I would even get that error when there was no memory in the motherboard. So I contacted ASRock and I asked to do an advanced RMA, because I didn't want to have a lot of downtime with my new and very expensive computer (And I have a lot of work to get done on it). So they took my credit card information and proceeded to send me out a "new" motherboard. I finally got it yesterday and I was like awesome, now I can go through the awesome process of taking the old motherboard out and disconnecting everything. After doing so, I opened the replacement motherboard and went to install the M.2 in its slot, only to find that the post for the M.2 was broken off and the threads were stuck in the board (and it looks like someone tried to use something to get the threads removed). Needless to say, immediately I wasn't happy, Its a very expensive motherboard......the most expensive motherboard I've ever owned. So I went to place it back in its static bag and I felt something on the back, well there was black duct tape holding on the CPU bracket on the back. This made me ever more angry, as there is no situation where a motherboard should have duct tape on it. So I packed it back up and had to wait till today to call ASRock, as it was too late to call them at the time. When I called them today, they started off giving me a huge hassle and stating to me that there's no way that this could happen. After a few hours of frustration and sending pictures of the board, they are going to send me another one. They stated that it would be New, have the latest BIOS version, and definitely not be as terrible as the first replacement.

This is the first ASRock product I have ever owned, and thus far, I am not impressed or happy with whats happened. I hope this motherboard that I receive is flawless, as any $250 replacement should be. I appreciate them eventually working with me to resolve this, but I do not have high hopes as of this time. I will keep you all updated when I receive the board and I truly hope this gets resolved properly, as I like the features offered on this board and have heard nothing but good things about ASRock prior to this.

Here is some photos of the board -

http://imgur.com/a/5ug3t
