i would hazard a guess its conflicting between the later bios and the driver in linux
have you looked for later driver/tried later driver ?

Perfectly working Q1900 won't stay connected via wire connection to Internet.
 
The Rj45 plug has yellow light flashing (?) - data coming thru and reddish light indicating baud rate. 
The system status saiz "cable disconnected". 
Swapped Ethernet cables between other WORKING hardware and got same result.
It is NOT a cable or port problem. 
It started after updating UEFI to P1.80 
System setup is "UEFI defaults"  No other problems. 
Running Ubuntu - please do not tell me it is Ubuntu issue - I run only Ubuntu and NEVER had this issue before. . 
PS The System power / voltages are normal.
