hello again

now i try measuring power only
I disconeted all from mother board, only power supply
and get 17-18W
so.. corsair CX550M broken?

stres test is passed
also 1 month btc harvest
but these is from the first day when i buy..
and today i have time to ask.. if is these normal ..

i know what power switch on pc case is..

so .. or its power supply broken .. or bios setup

A PC, when shutdown, still has power supplied to the board. That is normal.

The power switch on a PC case is not a mechanical switch, it is a switch that when pressed is detected by the board which then sends a signal to the PSU to start it's main voltage rails. If no power was supplied to a mother board, it would not start if the power switch on the PC was pressed.

When a PC is shutdown, the standby section of the PSU supplies +5V to the mother board. The standby power section of a PSU supplies up to 2.5Amps - 3Amps to the board.

At 5V x 3Amps = 15Watts, the maximum the standby section of your PSU can provide to the board. That is less than the 20Watts your Watt meter is reading. These are the specifications of your PSU, see the Tech Specs, +5Vsb section, 15W maximum:

All of my PCs use no more than 3 - 4 Watts of power when the PC is shutdown. That includes an ASRock Z270 board. I have a power strip that has a power meter in it that is very accurate, it is sold for the purpose of measuring the power used by anything connected to it, a Kill A Watt unit. It is very hard to believe any PC uses 20W when shutdown.

What is the name or model of the power measuring device you use? Is ONLY the PC connected to it, or is a PC monitor or other devices also connected to it?

The C States settings are CPU power saving options, and have nothing to do with the power used when the PC is shutdown.

I think either your Watt meter is wrong, or your new PSU has a problem.
