I only found a couple of hints to do this. After much reading, I figured it out and I wondered why no one has written this down. So, here goes.

The motherboard does what ASRock says out of the box with no changes to the bios it will recognize a riser plugged into the 16x port on the board.

Plug that one in first and install windows. Don't ever used the onboard video. You will waste time.

Next, add one card. I choose to add to the left of the 16x port first since I noted the ports were number Port1 and Port1_1, Port2 and Port2_2 and so on.

This seemed to work out. I had to plug one card in and boot into windows to see if the card was picked up by the os.

I did find some of the risers were unstable and some did not work at all. So out of the 12 risers, I bought. Only half of them worked.

Windows 10 Home does not recognize the cards are installed. When I plugged one card in the 16x PCIe slot. Windows sees that one. But if I use the riser 1x PCIe. It does not see any cards.

From what I read the board is suppose to work out of the box. I cleared the CMOS to make sure it was factory defaults.

Is there something I need to change in the bios or do I need a different OS?
